Spinach Pie

Ingredients:

- 2 pounds spinach, finely chopped
|
- 1 pound Feta cheese, crumbled
|
- 1 small onion, chopped fine
|
- 15 fila (fillo dough sheets)
|
|

Directions:
Wash spinach and chop fine. Press spinach well to remove excess moisture. ( This is a very important step for good filling.) Combine with cheese,onions,eggs,oil,salt and pepper. Arrange 9 fila, brushing each with butter, in a 10x15-inch pan and cover with spinach mixture. Cover with 6 fila, brushing each with butter. Seal edges to retain filling. Brush top with butter. Bake in a 350 oven for 45 minutes. Variation: Can also be made in triangles. |
