Fresh Italian Tomato Salad

Ingredients:

- 4 oz mozzarella cheese, sliced
|
- 2 thick slices red onion, separated into rings
|
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh basil, or 2 tsp dried basil
|
- 1/2 cup Italian salad dressing (Good Seasons)
|
|
|
Directions:
In a shallow dish, layer cheese, onion and basil. Pour 1/4 cup of the dressing over all. Cover, refrigerate overnight, or at least several hours. Bring to room temperature.Prepare 4 salad plates with lettuce,onions, mozzarella cheese and top with tomatoes. Pour remaining dressing over each plate and garnish with basil sprigs. |
