Hilltop House Stewed Tomatoes
Debbie Fisher from Glen Burnie, Md says: This recipe comes from a restaurant in Harper's Ferry, West Virginia. The cinnamon adds a great flavor, and it's healthy too!

Ingredients:

- 1-28 ounce can whole tomatoes
|
- 4 1/2 packets Equal sugar substitute (the small ones, like you get in a restaurant)
|
|
- 1 T. cornstarch, mixed with a little water to make a paste
|
|
- 8 low fat saltine crackers, crushed
|
Directions:
Cut tomatoes into bite sized pieces. Pour into 2 quart saucepan, then add remaining ingredients. Cook on stove with low heat for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally. |
